Welcome to Jack Swagger's America.
I've always said that either my work life, or my personal life is down. I've never had a time where they've both been at a high. I guess on the other side is that it's very, very rare that I've had times where I'm down and my work is down too. I guess that might be why I'm just grabbing onto this time and appreciating every minute I'm awake. I know it's rare. I know how hard it is to find a balance, have the luck, and be paid off for the hard work, all at the same time.
In Jack Swagger's America, Soviet Russia eats YOU.
My Mom used to tell me that it's a big wheel that keeps on turning. You have to spend time at the bottom of the wheel to get back up to the top. And the longer you spend at the bottom, the more you'll savor your time at the top. I'm also a big believer in what goes around, comes around. Work hard, keep your head down, do what you can to help yourself and where you can, help others, and you'll be rewarded for that, even if it takes a lot of patience. When it comes to work, and things I don't actually have a say in, I have a lot of patience. It's the things that I can push to happen faster that I want to happen now.
In Jack Swagger's America, everyone speaks ENGLISH.
Wrestlemania is a handful of days away now. It's scary and incredible to think about, from two nights after the Royal Rumble to where we are now, everything in place. The storyline could've been dropped, shifted, but I've had one of the longest builds of matches on the card this year and I don't think anyone could even begin to understand how appreciative I am of that. There's been bumps, there's been mistakes, there's been choices made, but there's been a reaction too, and when you're getting that in wrestling, you're 80% of the way there. When you get people chanting 'USA' as you break a guys ankle, it might not be the 'boo's' that the traditional bad guy wants, but it's a reaction. It's been that Cena guys argument the whole way along. If you get people emotionally invested in this product, you're doing your job. If they're sitting on their hands and couldn't care less what you do? You're going to have a problem.
In Jack Swagger's America, 'We The People' is stated at the beginning of every day.
In Jack Swagger's America, Jake Hager is also not going to get murdered because he didn't update his journal. Happy Wrestlemania Season, all. Be safe. Work hard. Appreciate life.
